POSITION PURPOSEThe Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning will be responsible for supporting the Strategic Planning department in its efforts for long-term strategy development. The position will play a crucial role in formulating data-driven insights, helping prepare executive presentations, and working across business functions to gain alignment on enterprise-level strategic priorities. The position will report to the Director of Strategic Planning. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSConduct high-quality research and analysis into: macro and industry trends, key competitors and new entrants, and disruptive/emerging technologies; translate these into insights and implications for Encompass Health Prepare quarterly update memos for internal distributionAssist in the monitoring of progress against key objectives and initiatives through data and financial analysisPerform strategic analyses articulating Encompass Health's positioning; regularly update the status of key assumptionsSupport in the crafting of the messaging of senior leadership content for meetings (e.g. Board of Directors meetings, industry association meetings)Work collaboratively with a business unit to drive enterprise strategy execution and partner on functional strategy projectsComplete ad hoc support/project requests from departments outside of Strategic PlanningThis position sits in our Birmingham AL home office. This is not a remote position. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONBachelor's degree required with an emphasis in business, healthcare administration or similar field. The position will develop program level scopes of work, multi-year initiative schedules, and program level budgets as identified by operations. The position will review plans and specifications with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and hospital administration. The position will develop project schedules and review with designers, contractors, and vendors. The position will develop project and program budgets and track project costs and changes against project budgets. Responsibilities & Tasks• Manages owner consultants, contractors and vendors through pre-construction, construction and post construction process.• Assists in the required regulatory notifications and impact regarding project costs and schedules.• Analyze estimates and quotes from general contractors, subcontractors and vendors.• Provide project and program management services on capital improvement projects.• Assesses materials, labor and equipment required for a construction project to determine if scope of work is satisfactory for stated project goals.• Ability to work in an office in a fast paced environment with possible variable working hours.• This position has direct reports including Project Manager(s) and Senior Project Manager(s)• Position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama• Position requires up to 25-30% travel Qualifications Minimum Requirements • College degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering preferred with a minimum of 10 years in the construction field with strong emphasis in project management required.• Healthcare experience required.
