We are an acute care facility with 25 beds, providing a wide range of medical, surgical, and pediatric care.STATUS:Full-Time LOCATION: Massena HospitalDEPARTMENT: Respiratory ServicesSCHEDULE: 7pm-7am Night ShiftATTRIBUTESA minimum of an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate is required.New York State Respiratory Therapist license requiredACLS certification (current) required within one year of hireRESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care. Review and evaluate history, physical exams, current vital signs, admission and current respiratory care orders for each patient; advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedure and techniquesPlanning & Documentation. Initiate and update respiratory care plan for all patients per department policy and procedure; work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to implement the plan of care; monitor and document all pertinent clinical parameters and assessments on all assigned patients; modify treatment techniques based on patient responseEducation & Communication.
