About the unit8N is a 28-bed med/surg unit with a renal focus; we see a wide variety of patients who are in acute and chronic renal failure requiring hemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. We see a variety of different medical conditions and disease processes including Cardiac, Neuro, Respiratory, Infectious Disease, and Psych. The unit has the capability to monitor 8 cardiac telemetry patients. About the unit6 North is a 32-bed surgical floor that offers a great learning environment fostered by our team of exceptional nurses. 6 North offers experiences that are normally not found in Med-Surg clinical rotation. The unit has a focus on surgical conditions including urology procedures, major and minor abdominal surgeries, ENT, bariatric and pulmonary surgeries, peripheral vascular procedures as well as other general surgical post-op needs. The unit has 8 telemetry beds for patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
