De-Burr/Polish Technician I

The operator is responsible for de-burring and polishing all Hydraulic coupling bodies and components to the highest quality obtainable.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Machine operations
  • Set-up and operate the Power hold work head.
  • Understands basic tooling, its purpose and how to evaluate wear limits and change as required.
  • Can perform daily preventative maintenance on machine.
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
  • (Calipers and micrometers)
  • Must communicate with leads, supervisors and planners on a daily basis to assure routers and schedules are accurate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Primary responsibility: Polish, Deburr, Mag Deburr,Micro-blast, Wash/Clean polished parts.

Field Service Technician I

Perform inspection and repair work in-house on returned product or at customer’s job site. Troubleshoot and, if possible, repair our hydraulic couplings, valves and chemical injection metering valve (CIMV) units.  Competently and professionally represent Hunting Energy Services – Subsea Technologies in meetings with Hunting’s customers and with end users.  Work independently in an unfamiliar environment with little or no supervision.  Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.

  • Must be able to represent Hunting Energy Services – Subsea Technologies in a professional manner in meetings with all customers and end users.  This will include the ability to dialog competently with project managers, engineers and other strategic customer personnel about any product performance issues or concerns in a manner that supports our customers and promotes Hunting as a world-class oilfield equipment supplier.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately test products according to the product specification or test procedures.
  • Inspect couplings against an established set of criteria to determine if they are damaged beyond salvage or are repairable. Be able to determine the cause of the damage and offer solutions to the problem. Technician must be able to replace seal kits on couplings that require them and must also be able to perform other rework as appropriate to restore couplings to service.
  • Perform inspections of valves to determine if they are functioning properly and if not, the cause of the malfunction. Must be able to tear down and rebuild each of our valves in house or in the field.
  • Able to help customers deploy CIMV Units offshore.  Also must be able to assist with diagnosing communication and other performance issues and help to resolve them.
  • Operate borescope and other tools used to diagnose issues in the field.
  • Utilize gauges, calipers and other measuring equipment as required to verify conformance to original manufacturing specifications.
  • Write clear and concise reports to the customer detailing service activities and findings, as well as the steps used to diagnose and fix the issues.
  • Reports should include appropriate photos of the parts as applicable.  The reports must be done in a timely manner.
  • Conduct training for customers in proper use and maintenance of our products.
  • Maintain department in a clean an orderly manner on a daily basis.
  • Assist in department goals and objectives by ensuring the department tool inventory is kept in an orderly and clean manner on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Other tasks, duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by manager.

Required Skills/Experience

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. CNC Machinist I

Setup and machine parts to engineering drawings using CNC Lathes and other equipment, as determined by manufacturing engineering and/or supervisor, in a safe and efficient manner.  Attention to detail and quality are essential in this individual.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set Up and operate CNC machines according to procedures, programs, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to setup and machine first-run jobs with little or no supervision. Must communicate program, tooling, or setup issues back to programming department for resolution.
  • Understanding of CNC G-code format and ability to decipher intent of program prior to running.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use all associated precision measuring instruments required for ensuring parts meet tolerances prior to submitting to quality for inspection.
  • Knowledge in machining of multiple types of materials including, but not limited to: Stainless Steels, Nickel-Alloys, Copper-Nickel Alloy, Super Duplex, Inconel grades, and various other high-temp alloys.
  • Knowledge of tooling types, geometries, grades, and tool holders.
  • Manage tooling configuration (turret/magazine) to reduce redundant setup and maintain efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues to determine if issue requires a change in tooling, program, or if machine requires maintenance.
  • Support and assist with machine PM program as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Read and understand Hunting Quality Manual.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Responsible for dimensional and quality conformance of machined parts.
  • Assist in the backing up of programs to centralized database as required.
  • Suggest changes to process to improve quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Daily clocking of manufacturing activity to keep accurate records of setup and production times.
  • Complete all responsibilities in a timely and professional manner while maintaining quality and confidentiality.

Commitment to high quality standards and attention to detail.  Interpret machine G-code and understand multi-axis machine movement.
  • Work Environment – This position will require working in a Production Floor environment with non-hazardous noise levels.  Air conditioned and heated climate controlled facility.  Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.  Frequent planned and unplanned overtime.
  • Multi-spindle turning is desired




Assembly Technician I

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling all types of products processed through the coupling department as well as assisting with all supporting operations within the area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform various assembly steps for coupling products.  Be able to check all parts for proper assembly in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Understand and assist with all supporting operations within the coupling department, including Laser operation, shippreparation, and kitting.
  • Maintain and process the production workflow of all operations associated with the work order.
  • Accurately maintain coupling inventory.
  • Work with other departments to resolve issues pertaining to shortages, rework or repairs. (Rework, disassemble and repair parts associated with RMA, NCR’s and FAT/COIN failures).
  • Capable of operating all assembly production equipment.  Review technicians equipment operation to insure compliance with procedure.  Knowledgeable of all associated precision measuring tools of the shop.  Supports and assists with equipment PM program.
  • Play an active role in regards to “Lean” processes by working and communicating with Planning, Quality, and Peers to identify and implement ways to improve flow to increase throughput. 
  • Utilize ERP System to perform everyday Job Processes.
  • Participate in implementing Company strategic plan goals, quality program initiatives, lean manufacturing techniques, good housekeeping practices, corrective action implementation, quick changeover initiatives and other company-wide initiatives aimed at improving productivity and increasing profitability.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Ability to read & write effectively in English.  Ability to translate work instructions and understand details associated  with the manufacturing assortment of document types: instructions, correspondences, reports, procedures and memorandums.
