Job Description: Buying materials and services for projects with extensive electrical knowledge Maintaining an updated database of approved suppliers Researching new prospective sources for project requirements Preparing RFQ’s / bid package to probable suppliers based on project team technical specifications Effective coordination between suppliers & project teams to resolve any technical issues Commercial comparison between competitive quotes Taking appropriate internal approvals Review / Negotiate, terms and conditions of purchase contracts Processing Purchase Orders in SAP Material Follow-Up (tracking open PO’s, follow-up) Reject material return / credit co-ordination Resolve disputed invoices with accounting / supplier Monitor supplier performance Complying with ISO procedures Maintaining / filing documentation and preparing MIS reports General work responsibilities: Data entry of purchase orders, maintain and monitor supplier’s performance as per required formats. Process requisitions, verify items to order, verify appropriate approvals, clarify payment terms, shipping methods, delivery schedules, and create new suppliers in the supplier database. Maintain Documentation. Organize, file and maintain purchasing records as per ISO procedures within the Corporate Purchasing Group Responsible for timely follow up / delivery of project materials and communication to concerned stake holders. Co-ordination on returning / credit of rejected material received from suppliers with stores / accounting. Reconcile discrepancies of invoicing and the terms of the purchase order with supplier / accounting. Responsible for creating and producing performance reports to evaluate the performance in purchasing, budget versus actual spending, On time delivery performance. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Supply Operations Manager (1804420) – Houston, TX Where the Chemistry Happens We are looking for a talented professional like you to join our TOTAL Petrochemical and Refining USA, Inc. office, part of the BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals LLC (BTP). Reporting to the Business Director, you will be responsible for managing feedstock inventories, optimizing production forecasts, and managing third party logistics providers (including TPRI). You will work closely with BTP Operations, Planning and Business Groups, and well as TOTAL’s Refinery Marine Scheduling, Operations, Supply Chain and Base Chemicals Groups. In this role, you will represent BTP to third party logistics providers, as well as laboratory and inspection services and loss control providers. Formula for Success Demonstrating your solid skills in communication and negotiation, you will manage relationships/primary commercial contact with third party logistics (3PL) companies (terminals, pipeline), inspection companies and laboratories. You will also successfully negotiate agreements with 3PLs and inspectors. Successfully engaging inside the organization, you will coordinate with the Optimization Group to develop and optimize the feedstock supply plan for the condensate splitter. You will communicate the operating plan to Port Arthur Refinery Operations including feed rates, slate, constraints and cut points and monitor performance versus the plan. Utilizing your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, you will manage physical inventory (including feedstock movements) to ensure continuous, optimized operations of the cracker and condensate splitter. Additionally, you will be tasked with reporting physical inventory by feedstock and location. Leveraging your education in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business, or Operations Management and your professional manufacturing experience, you will review and provide recommendations on all demurrage/losses claims on marine and pipeline movements and approve claims up to authority limits. Thinking strategically on behalf of the business, you will develop feedstock supply strategy to the condensate splitter and the cracker (up to 130,000 bbl/day). Focused on continuous improvement and efficiency, you will develop and manage logistics KPI’s for inventory, demurrage and loss control. Your knowledge of refinery processes and refinery economics will be a valued asset as you manage the day-to-day inventory scheduling and forecasting of feedstocks to the cracker and condensate splitter.
