Basic Function The A/C and Heat Mechanic “A” must have a thorough knowledge of all air conditioning and heating components (HVAC) installed on Authority operated vehicles. Must show a proficient knowledge and use of test equipment and specialized tools related to classification requirements. Must independently diagnose and repair all defects to completion. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures. Responsibilities and Specific Duties Performs Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on vehicle HVAC systems installed on METRO’s revenue fleet. Independently diagnoses and repairs all air conditioning and heat defects on Authority vehicles under the supervision of a Mechanical Foreman. Proper use and interpretation of laptop computer and related HVAC system software. Performs inspections and uses approved test equipment and specialized tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment associated with air conditioning and heat repair work. Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly. Assists in work direction with mechanics as assigned. Perform the duties of a Transit Bus Repair “A” as assigned. Participates in on-going training in accordance with METRO’s Maintenance Training Program. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Completes all required reports and records in a timely and accurate fashion. Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Basic Function Under the direction of the LRV Maintenance Supervisor performs LRV T1 level diagnosis and repair of LRV Systems and Subsystems. Responsible for preventative maintenance repair and running maintenance repair on light rail vehicles.  Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.  Utilize portable test equipment.  Performs functional checks and inspections of light rail vehicles using portable test equipment, laptop diagnostics and other common tools.  Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures. Responsibilities and Specific Duties Successfully complete the LRV Maintenance Training courses in light rail vehicle systems and sub-systems. Complete 75% of the PQS within 1 year from date of hire in order to progress to LRV Tech T2. Inspects, function tests, and repairs rail vehicle systems and equipment. Performs downloads of diagnostic fault history. Monitors and replaces consumables on the vehicles. Replaces LRV System mechanical components and sub-assemblies. Enters work order and job information into a maintenance management system. Tracks warranty components and prepare warranty documentation. Complies with all safety, operating and maintenance procedures. Operates METRORail non-revenue vehicles to include rail car mover, hi-rail equipment, forklifts and re-railing equipment. Provides necessary support for revenue and future start-up operations. Maintains a safe and clean work area. Job Description: The work of a Ramp Service Clerk includes the following: loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft; the ramp transfers of cargo where required; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material, export at the designated express docks, mail and baggage in the outbound baggage room; the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described.  The cleaning and servicing of cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; checking, handling, assembling, removing and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies.  Transporting such furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft.  Assisting in loading, unloading and racking both filled and empty drums.  In addition, de-icing aircraft, clear aircraft windshields, pushout/two aircraft and related guide man functions; connect/remove ground power and ground start units.  May be required to clean the exterior of aircraft with specialized cleaning fluids.  May be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment.  May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of facility.  May be assigned to do routine automotive repair; servicing and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment.  Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.   Comply with WFS site security plan for assigned warehouse.  This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Required Skills: Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas, push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with/to aircraft. Driving vehicles with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment as well as positioning vehicle up to aircraft requiring depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors, red, green, and yellow. Engage in push-out of aircraft driving 80,000 lb. vehicle or assist by providing guide function to driver using depth perception in congested areas or speaking to cockpit during push-back procedure. Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested area.  Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo. While performing aircraft push-out and/or towing functions, engage in proper specific ground to cockpit communication via hand signals and voice commands, with and without, the assistance of sight or visual aids.  Ability to successfully communicate with others.  Ability to work in a high-noise level environment. Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.  Pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt.  Pull water hose from stationary cabinet and connect to aircraft. Lift, connect overhead and remove overhead, 40 lb. KVA electric cable to/from aircraft. De-ice aircraft at heights of up to 20 - 80 ft. lifting and holding nose, spray exterior of wings and fuselage with glycol.  Ability to judge distances. Ability to confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas, and report their presence to authorities as necessary. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

Position Summary The Pharmaceutical Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team in the development and implementation of production equipment and processes in order to provide a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.  This position reports to the Director of Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement processes for the preventative maintenance program for manufacturing  equipment per standards in the industry and equipment manufactures’ recommendations.  Assist in developing schedule for and performing major engineering projects and facility modifications.  Coordinates maintenance shutdowns with the Director of Facilities to ensure the availability of resources for timely completion to maximize compounding capability.  Implements changes for improving manufacturing line efficiencies and maintenance performance.  Responsible for calibration program. Responsible for equipment qualification and validation (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ protocol creation and/or execution). Interacts with and manages contractors for validation as required. Coordinates with material/equipment vendors as well. Performs quality investigations in a timely manner regarding deviations, out of tolerance conditions, unexpected results on facility issues by conducting failure analysis, root cause determination, and corrective action determination Drive continuous improvement by managing projects and recommending techniques to enhance equipment/system/process robustness. Leads change control processes related to equipment and facilities Works with manufacturing team for equipment operations training and implementation program. Write SOP’s, OSW’s, etc. to document processes. Assist with safety assessments for modifications to equipment. Develop and deliver ongoing training to staff regarding utilities equipment and hazards. Utilize facility engineering principles to solve straight forward problems. Work with production on a daily basis to coordinate appropriate course of action to maximize uptime and quality performance of respective area. Interface with Director of Facilities to complete requested engineering projects in a timely manner.
