Performs electro-mechanical trouble shooting, repair and general preventative maintenance procedures on all production equipment Use of multimeters, amp meters and ohmmeters, troubleshoot AC/DC/VFD/servo motors, motor controllers, PLC’s and rewire/ identify/replace failed components to include motors, drives, I/O boards, switches, contactors, relays and fuses. Programs VFD as required Repairs, replaces defective parts. Rebuilds and repairs all equipment. Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions. Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery. Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery. Performs other responsibilities, projects as assigned. Perform preventative maintenance on more advanced/sophisticated production equipment Perform repairs on more advanced production equipment as needed Perform breakdown analysis Perform general housekeeping Upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology Direct activities of outside contractors working on assigned line Follow GMP, safety, and audit standards
