Pol-Tex, a division of Poly-America, L.P., a leading manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a Maintenance Helper at its Mont Belvieu, Texas location. A successful candidate must be able to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantling devices to gain access to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and safety lock-out devices.
- Examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusting functioning parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Installing special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Testing the performance of devices.
- Lubricating and cleaning parts.
- Additional duties as become necessary and/or are assigned by management

Qualifications:
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of and the ability to use basic hand tools
- Must be able to work rotating night shifts
- Must be able to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Additional duties as become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
- 1-3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience preferred
