Durgin and Crowell, a large Eastern white pine lumber and wood pellet manufacturing facility located in Springfield, NH is urgently seeking experienced Industrial Millwright Mechanics. The Industrial Millwright Mechanic is needed to perform general and routine maintenance across our production areas, including the Planer Mill, Pellet Mill, and Sawmill. This is a direct hire role that requires hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting, and proactive upkeep to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous operation.
Work hours are 6:00AM to 3:30PM with overtime available, hours of operation may vary based on production needs. This position may be subject to work weekends as needed. Pay depends on experience and aptitude, can range from $50K-$75K+, and for candidates with 15+ years of experience we have Senior Level Industrial Millwright Mechanic positions available as well at an increased salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repair, maintenance, and service tasks across facilities
- Monitor and maintain mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Install and optimize manufacturing equipment
- Participate in reconstruction projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and report damaged or worn parts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop areas and tools
- Address and report safety issues proactively
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment to maintain uptime and product quality
- Perform other duties as needed

Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred, not required)
- At least 5 years of mechanical/maintenance experience
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective communicator with attention to detail
- Capable of working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Reliable, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Flexible to work overtime or weekends if needed
- Experience in wood products manufacturing, lumber or saw mill (preferred)
- Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
