We're looking for a Material Handler to help keep our operations moving. You'll load/unload trailers, operate forklifts and hand trucks, prepare shipments and keep our dock organized and safe.
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (may need to work past 3:00p when waiting for trucks)
Job Duties Include:
- Safely operate all material transporting equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete checklists
- Crate products for shipment when needed
- Contact carriers to arrange shipments
- Work with the Shipping Clerk to ensure on-time deliveries
- Unload inbound freight and verify accuracy
- Load and secure wrapped product into trailers
- Alert the Supervisor of any discrepancies in Bills of Lading or receivers
- Follow assigned production schedules and report progress as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Work with the assembly team to ensure proper product flow
- Cross-train and take on new tasks or responsibilities outside the primary role
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years woodworking experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred; training available
- Physical ability to bend, reach, lift, and grip items up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in cold environments
- Intermediate math skills, including fractions, decimals and conversions
- Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Quick learner with a desire to take on new projects
- Must present a professional image
- Team player with a good safety record
- Ability to work under stress and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
