About the Role

As Production Controller Manager, you will lead a team of controllers responsible for predicting, planning and scheduling work, considering manpower, inventory availability and other capacity restrictions to achieve speed, efficiency and throughput goals.


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Senior Leadership in the development of E-Fulfillment Center strategy and workload forecasts

  • Oversee the allocation of resources and utilize documented system order data to make informed decisions

  • Proactively analyze, evaluate and forecast E-Fulfillment Center workflows to minimize future bottlenecks and production slowdowns and achieve process optimization

  • Establish inventory conditions and ensure they are met to allow for seamless inbound and outbound unit process 

  • Guide the adjustment of workstation parameters to coordinate workstation setup to workflow needs

  • Set quarterly staffing plan based on the current analyzed and forecasted E-Fulfillment Center work mix

  • Serve as the first point of escalation in the resolution of trouble orders to achieve on-time delivery to customers

  • Guide to controllers and other operations managers based on observations of levers to pull to optimize the throughput of the facility best

  • Communicate system statuses, progression toward building goals and key performance indicators 

  • Lead advanced data collection and dissemination, multi-dimensional analysis, data mining and statistical analysis

  • Manage workflow of the entire E-Fulfillment Center in conjunction with individual department controllers to meet planned units per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards

  • Effectively manage staffing to meet UPH and CPU goals

  • Ensure accuracy standards are being met and that unit inventory integrity is achieved across the entire E-Fulfillment Center

  • Manage direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals per Kohl's policies and practices

  • Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, driving results

  • Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications

  • Develop staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or related field

  • Flexibility to work across multiple shifts and maintain on-call status 24/7

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others

  • Work well under pressure and as part of a team 

PREFERRED

  • Supervisory experience 

  • 5+ years experience with operations and operational support systems (WMS, WCS, LMS, etc.) 

  • Automated MHE experience
