Snelling Staffing has an Immediate need for experienced Insurance Verification Specialists to join a medical clinic near San Pedro and 281. You will be responsible for verifying patients' insurance information to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for healthcare services. This role involves contacting insurance companies, confirming coverage details and communicating with patients to gather necessary information.
- Verifying insurance coverage of each patient
- Handling payments for services not covered by insurance
- Explaining coverages to patients
- Obtaining referrals for patients when they are not covered
- Updating patient information/keeping records
- Filling out the documentation required for billing

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical insurance verification: 2 years (Required)
- Medical billing: 2 years (Preferred)
- Previous customer service via the phone
- Previous billing experience (Preferred)
- Familiarity with medical terminology (Preferred)
- Work experience with insurance companies (Preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
