Canva’s easy-to-use interface provides access to millions of photographs, graphics, and fonts, enabling the user to create designs for web or print. Learn how this tool can be used to create blog graphics, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations, presentations, and more.

  • Introduction to 3D Printing – Wednesday, December 14, 10:30 am-12:00 noon. Library staff will introduce the 3D printer and explain how library patrons can print their own designs. Those attending the session will also learn about free websites that can be used to find 3D files or to create their own 3D designs. Attendees are encouraged to create an account with Tinkercad at https://www.tinkercad.com prior to the class.

·       Google Docs Basics” will take place on Tuesday, December 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Learn how to create, access, edit, and store documents online using the Google Docs free application. While similar to other word-processing applications, Google Docs also allows users to collaborate on the same document in real time with other users and access their cloud-based documents from any computer. Attendees are encouraged to set up a personal Google account prior to attending the class.

 

·       Google Sheets Basics” will take place on Tuesday, December 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Learn how to create, access, and edit spreadsheets directly from a web browser using the Google Sheets free online application; no special software is required. An alternative to MS Excel, Google Sheets is a spreadsheet-editing program that enables users to collaborate on the same project in real time with other users and access their cloud-based work from any computer.

 

The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. Have you been searching for a job and not having any luck? Maybe it’s time for a change in your game plan. A free, “Job-Search Survival Workshop” will take place online on Tuesday December 6th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. This online workshop will be live streamed; it will NOT be in person.

The workshop is presented by multiple coaches from different industries and with different skill sets, with more than 30 years of experience in the business world.

Are you ready to become an American Citizen?

We can help you study for the interview. We have a new class online.

Class starts September 29th to Dec. 15th.
Class will be every Tuesday at 10 am - 11 am.

All you need is internet access, a computer or mobile device, ability to read, speak, and understand basic English, and be age 18 or older.
Free printed class booklets will be available through curbside pickup.
Booklets must be picked up before class begins. Digital copies can be emailed to students upon request.

Registration is required.
