Job DescriptionThe Opportunity: We are hiring a full time Registered Nurse for our Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic at the Plaza
NO HOLIDAYS - NO WEEKENDS
Work hours are Monday through Thursday 730 to 430 and Friday is a half day
The Work:- In clinic setting, provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
- Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
- Responsible for managing expired samples.
- Triage Nurses - manages nurse-directed patient telephone calls and evaluates and assesses patient's health care needs based on patient's signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols, guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care needs.
- Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response.
- Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks based on completed and signed off competencies of staff, and for supervision of other patient care staff.
- Coordinate and schedule same-day appointments on the provider schedules and walk-in appointments for nurse and lab visits.
- Able to identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
- Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
- Enter orders as directed by a provider.
- Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor always.
- May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.
- 2 years pervious labor & delivery experience strongly preferred.
- Previous maternal fetal monitoring experience strongly preferred.
