Job Description
Summary
The Connected Device Onboarding Specialist II provides clinical evaluation services to further medical device security efforts of TRIMEDX
clients. The Connected Device Onboarding Specialist II is routinely expected to conduct hands-on examination of clinical equipment and
assist in the implementation of clinical information security solutions.
Responsibilities
Technical Evaluation and Data Collection - 70%
• Collect basic and advanced connected device inventory fields as required
Collaborate with Clinical Engineering, information technology and original equipment manufacturers to assist in data
collection efforts.

• Support other teams in implementation as needed
• All other duties as assigned
Internal Inventory Audit – 20%
• Collect a sample of general medical equipment information to evaluate initial inventory quality
• Use data collected during technical audit to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist in collection of missing information required by other TRIMEDX departments
Continuous Improvement - 10%
• Provide meaningful feedback to assist in process refinement
• Complete training to advance skill set and understanding

Skills and Experience
• 2 years relevant experience
Intermediate to advanced understanding in conducting capabilities assessment on clinical equipment systems and
environments

• Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Commission and other equipment-related regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and related regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and service management software
Skill in determining how medical device security features should function and how changes in conditions, operations, or the
environment will affect compliance, preferred
•
• Ability to build quick rapport and credibility with all levels of personnel including healthcare executives and leadership
• Ability to gather and analyse information and implement solutions
• Ability to demonstrate the TRIMEDX core values through all work activities
Education and Qualifications
• Associates degree or equivalent experience required
• Intermediate experience with regulatory compliance and/or risk management programs, minimum 1 years strongly preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of clinical equipment and systems, minimum 1 year preferred
• Intermediate experience in healthcare business processes and operations, minimum 1 year strongly preferred
Intermediate knowledge of information technology, including operating systems and network protocols, minimum 1 year
preferred

• Intermediate knowledge of HIPAA and related regulatory requirements strongly preferred
• Experience in healthcare and patient treatment environment required
• Ability to travel up to 75%
