Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift and scheduling: 36HRS OR 48HRS, Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Required skills/experience: May screen strong MS RN candidates with 1.5 to < 2 years MS exp, who acquire that 1.5+ yrs in a steady flow (not a cumulative total across different jobs. MS/Tele, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
Preferred skills/experience:IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Surgical drains
Procedures/ Diagnostics/ Treatments performed on unit: Our 16-bed Plastic Surgery and Limb Salvage unit, with all-private rooms and the ability to offer continuous pulse oximetry, provides exceptional post- operative care for patients undergoing complex procedures. Common surgical procedures include reconstructive plastic surgery, diabetic limb salvage often with reconstructive flaps, complex wound management, and surgical wound care. This team is notable for its collaborative interdisciplinary practice. Our nurses work closely with an exceptional Nurse Practitioner team, who assist to create a strong standard in patient care and facilitate a communication pathway among the physicians, physical therapists and clinical pharmacists on a daily basis.
