Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
Shift & Scheduling: Start Date - 10/6, 10/13. Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Can be floated to Postpartum/Couplet care, “feeder / grower” assignments in SCN ( our Level II NICU)
Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.
Required Skills/Experience: Charge and preceptor duties required. Circulate for C-section, LDRP experience required, **Antepartum/Intrapartum/Postpartum/Couplet Care proven experience **
Preferred Skills/Experience: Triage, Proficient in sterile vaginal exams, Baby Friendly hospital experience, Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience.
Unit Details: 10 beds.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy, Maternal Substance Use Disorder, Gestational Diabetes, Limited or no prenatal care. Versions, Cerclage Removal, D&C, D&E.
Previous Employment Requirements: If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
References: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Acceptable IDs: A valid driver’s license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.
7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 references from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
