Job title: Mobile HVAC / Maintenance Technician
What this job involves
This position operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment across assigned facilities. The role focuses on maximizing equipment efficiency, extending life expectancy, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repair strategies. You'll perform comprehensive facility inspections and repairs while ensuring energy-efficient, safe operations and maintaining detailed records of equipment performance.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client operations
• Maintain electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior/exterior components
• Complete hazard assessments and ensure compliance with safety procedures and local codes
• Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo
• Submit daily P-card receipts and maintain accurate maintenance records
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Lifting up to 80 lbs
• Working from heights and climbing ladders up to 30 feet
• Climbing ladders with 300 lb weight limit while carrying approximately 20 lbs of tools
• Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead
• Working in adverse conditions (extreme cold, extreme hot)
• Driving for long periods of time
• Must be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of technical experience in building engineering with strong HVAC/R background
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or obtain within 90 days of employment)
• Valid state driver's license with ability to maintain driving privileges
• Technical expertise in electrical, plumbing, and production equipment repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3rd party technical certifications in relevant trades
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with CMMS systems for work order management • Additional licenses as required by local authority having jurisdiction
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance • Familiarity with energy management and building automation systems
