Experience:
• 36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the past 4 years.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: 10s or 12s, EOW. They are not open on weekends; however, rotate ‘call’ for inpatient cases, urgent and emergent cases, etc. Ends up being 1X/week & 1 weekend/month. Weekend call runs from Friday evening trough Monday am; however, this is subject to change depending on the needs of the unit.
Required Credentials: Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation.
Unit Details: Suites: 5 Suites: 2 suites primarily for coronary cases; 1 suite - peripheral cases; 1 suite - vascular & neuro cases; 1 suite for EP cases (electrophysiology). Cases/day: Varies anywhere from 10 - 22 cases per day total
Types of Patients on Unit: Cardiac/Coronary, Vascular, Peripheral, General IR (interventional radiology), EP & Neuro intervention. All perm staff cross-trained in each area.
Required Skills/Experience: Travelers will not be cross-trained; however must have current cath lab experience. Must be comfortable with conscience & moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips, such as Integrilin, dopamine, & vasopressins, as well as balloon pumps. Scrubbing not required.
Technology Used on Unit: EMR System: Cath lab documentation is Merge, Hospital is Cerner.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: RN does conscious sedation.
