Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Need to be able to circulate c-sections, take care of mag drips, triage, care for antepartum patients, and do basic PACU for recovering c-sections.
- RNs required to titrate drips: mag, pit
Preferred Skills/Experience: Over 2 years of L&D experience
Preferred Credentials: AWHONN EFM - will accept basic but intermediate or advanced
Types of Patients on Unit: Normal laboring, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, antepartum, preterm ruptured membranes, level II facility operating closer to a level III, deliver all gestations- if baby needs any surgical intervention will tx out
Unit Details:
- L&D Beds 14
- OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections 2 OR suites on the floor
- Triage beds included in the 14 rooms
- Postpartum beds “30 mother baby rooms - Mother baby nurses will take stable antepartum patients that L&D will chart on- have central monitoring that goes to L&D
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios “try to run by AWHONN standards - Nights may have 1:2 for Cytotec’s or inductions
Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Requirement: every other
- Holiday Requirement: if there is a unit need
Floating Requirements: First to Float between College Station and Bryan campus (16 minutes apart) as needed; may go to mother baby and take just mom, may float to other floors as helping hands
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
