As a member of the Senior Management team, the VP of Operations is directly responsible for the overall operation and service level of all Patriot facilities. The VP of Operations will have overall P&L responsibility and develop, implement, enforce, and monitor company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures.


  • Collaborates with leadership in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Plans, organizes, and manages the activities, budget, and staff for all assigned facilities.
  • Develops metrics, monitors performance and takes corrective measures when necessary.
  • Plans and coordinates operational work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; consults with assigned staff, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical industry expertise.
  • Develops capital budgets and manages capital projects to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of all facilities.
  • Develops and implements maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and quality and productivity improvement initiatives to improve services, efficiency, and effectiveness of Operations.
  • Manages public concerns, problems and/or complaints; provides solutions and answers to questions, comments, and concerns while maintaining good public relations.
  • Works with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) in support of a robust audit program to ensure compliance with national, state and local environmental regulations, and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary
  • Analyzes work progress records, efficiency of equipment and facilities, and drives continuous improvements.
  • Interprets, applies, and ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.
  • May attend to other duties when assigned.

Education & Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of operations experience OR A High School Diploma/GED and at least 15 years of operations experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the environmental services industry
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and/or quality and productivity improvement initiatives
  • At least 8 years of experience directly or indirectly managing people.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing budgets
