Lead with clinical compassion and operational excellence across multiple hospice locations

As an Executive Director Specialist – RN, you’ll serve as the operational and clinical leader in our hospice locations across the region. You’ll ensure compliance, lead quality initiatives, and support teams in delivering best-in-class care during times of leadership transition.
This is a fully travel-based position, reporting to the AVP of Operations, designed for a nurse leader with the flexibility and skill to manage hospice operations while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and organizational standards.
What You’ll Do as Executive Director Specialist – RN:
Serve as the Administrator on record at assigned hospice agencies
Oversee the day-to-day operations including staffing, compliance, patient services, and performance improvement
Drive clinical quality and ensure services meet Medicare Conditions of Participation, state hospice regulations, and Gentiva standards
Lead, coach, and support hospice care teams to meet patient-centered goals
Manage operational budgets with full P&L responsibility
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure smooth transitions and sustainable team performance
Travel up to 100% throughout the region to provide onsite leadership
About You:
Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:
Registered Nurse (RN) with current license in the state of residence
3–5 years of leadership or sales/management experience, preferably in hospice or healthcare
Experience with Medicaid/Medicare regulations and reimbursement
Strong understanding of hospice operations and regulatory compliance
Able to work independently and travel frequently
Effective communicator with strong decision-making and time management skills
Highly proficient with technology and digital platforms
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality care
