Our client, a leader in the field of food safety, is seeking a Microbiology Research Technician to join their team. As a Microbiology Research Technician, you will be part of the BioMonitoring R&D Team supporting innovative development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong motivation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Microbiology Research Technician

Location: St. Louis, MO

What's the Job

  • Contribute to the expansion of the food pathogen diagnostics portfolio.
  • Support development projects and engage in scientific discussions.
  • Analyze data and propose next steps to management.
  • Execute and troubleshoot experiments independently in a BSLII laboratory environment.
  • Utilize microbiology techniques, including PCR and aseptic techniques.

What's Needed

  • BA/BS in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology) with 1-3 years of lab-based experience.
  • Experience working in a team-based BSLII laboratory environment.
  • Ability to lift 15 - 20 lbs. (food sample enrichments).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a diverse team environment.
