Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the past 4 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

(SPCU) Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Lab

Nurses Only (w/ compact license) - must complete a one-time 6-hour suicide prevention training during onboarding according to the WA state regulations.

Unit Details: This is not a full cath lab job. Traveler will be assigned to only the prep & recovery of patients undergoing these procedures.

suites/labs: 3 Rooms. Hybrid OR room, nurses also go to CT, Ultrasound and MRI for procedures and sedations.

cases per day on average: 17 for Cath Labs, 22-23 including all other areas and procedures.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend on call. 8-830 Saturday and Sunday about every six weeks.

Holiday/Call Requirement: Everyone takes about 1 holiday a year. Rotated in with perm staff.

Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement : Yes

What is call response time : Procedure nurses and techs 30 minutes, recovery nurses 45 minutes.

Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 weeks of orientation depending on traveler experience. Nurses will have buddy call for the first 3-4 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Nurses: Have floated to other areas on a voluntary basis only.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
