DescriptionSummary:
A professional who utilizes the nursing process to assess, implement, coordinate, and evaluate oncology/hematology patient care activities. Collaborate with other Clinical Associates and Healthcare disciplines to meet individual needs using appropriate resources to ensure quality, safe, and cost-effective care. Nurtures a working relationship with physicians, nursing staff, and other disciplines involved in the care of the patient/family.
Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
- Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
Requirements:
- Current Louisiana RN license.
- BLS certification required.

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
