Compensation: Depending on experience, $80,000 - $100,000 base + incentives
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm CT
Service Manager Responsibilities:
Service Department
- Lead and support the Service team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Ensure customers receive prompt, professional, and courteous serviceacting as a liaison between technicians and customers to create a positive experience.
- Oversee workflow by assigning and prioritizing work, managing rental/courtesy vehicles, and ensuring staff meet Walser and manufacturer standards.
- Support staff growth and career development
- Handle payroll, incentive reporting, and other department operations as needed.
Parts Department
- Manage inventory and procurement of parts, maintaining accurate records and optimal stock levels.
- Oversee ordering, pricing, and supplier negotiations to ensure availability of quality parts at the best value.
We're Looking For:
- Minimum one year service writing experience
- Must have strong data entry skills to enter information onto the computer and other warranty systems
- Ability to operate current computer software (Word, Excel, Manufacturer website, etc.)
- Prior supervisory or management experience a plus
- Excellent phone and computer skills
- ADP experience highly desired
- A good understanding of automotive parts and cars is desired
- Ability to assess and report on warranty repairs
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Must have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
- Customer service mentality and professional demeanor
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
