Job DescriptionHedrick Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time night shift schedule. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced ED environment where your skills, quick thinking, and compassion will make a meaningful impact on patients in critical need.
As an ED RN, you will triage, assess, treat, and manage patients of all acuity levels while collaborating with an exceptional team of healthcare professionals. Our Emergency Department is known for its strong teamwork, supportive environment, and shared commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Schedule Details:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Rotating weekends and holidays required
- Opportunities for additional shifts, if desired
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and presenting symptoms
- Provide prompt, effective nursing care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Accurately document care and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Participate in department initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and patient satisfaction
In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active Missouri RN license or compact state license
- ED experience preferred
