Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Mother baby experience, prefer 1 year.
- Experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care.
- Experience with magnesium.
- Required to titrate drips: Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Charge nurse experience.
Types of Patients on Unit: 32 week gestation and greater, HTN-getting mag, BACs, TOLACs, some gestational diabetes, community has a lot of home birth midwives so a lot of the population comes in for medical intervention and pain control. Do have some antepartum patients. Do not take placenta previa or placenta accreta. Serve a very diverse population.
Unit Details:
- LDRP Beds: 14 LDRP- patients stay in the same room.
- OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 2 suites- RNs will circulate and recover.
- Triage beds: 4- travelers will staff.
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios : Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards. 1:1 labor unless pairing 2 cervical ripening patients. Postpartum is 1:3 couplets care. Triage 1:3, if get up to 4pts will utilize Resource nurse.
Special Requests:
- Do NOT guarantee Block Scheduling - can not work 6 shifts in a row.
- Travel duos will need 2 cars, can not do 1 car as they could be at different sites or float during shift.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Requirements: No minimum requirement. Based on unit needs and requests.
- Holiday Requirements: No set requirement for travel RNs. Regular Staff have a set holiday rotation and there are 3 groups. May work a holiday if there is a need during contract.
Floating Requirements: Float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley Sites-Meridian, Nampa, Boise in primary skill set (L&D, Postpartum, or Antepartum) or as a sitter.
