Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
What this job involves:
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting facility operations by performing inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment systems. This position involves both independent work on defined tasks and collaborative support with Mobile Engineers and Control Systems Technicians to ensure optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Maintaining lighting systems, including bulb and ballast replacement
• Performing general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning and evaporator coil maintenance
• Conducting kitchen equipment maintenance on meat grinders, cubers, saws, and slicers
• Completing minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
• Executing special assignment,s including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests
• Responding to after-hours emergency calls as part of on-call responsibilities
• Documenting work performance and updating work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like Corrigo
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintaining clean, safe work environments
• Procuring materials and submitting P-card receipts daily
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• Valid state driver's license
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
• Ability to lift minimum 80 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Physical capability for frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
• Ability to work in adverse conditions (extreme temperatures)
Preferred:
• Completion of applicable technical training program
• Experience with CMMS systems
• HVAC/R maintenance experience
• Kitchen equipment maintenance background
