White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. Schedule: Monday-Friday - evenings and weekends as needed
Pay Range: This is a FT Salaried Position - $68,640-$70,720/yr.
Job Duties:
- Presents and maintains a positive customer service focus when interacting with residents, visitors, vendors and team members;
- Prepares daily and monthly work schedules;
- Maintains daily attendance and inputs for payroll;
- Maintains attendance sheets, paid time off and holidays;
- Takes inventory of stock on hand on a bi-weekly basis; orders housekeeping and laundry supplies;
- Assists in taking visual assessment of residents' homes and apartments; keeps track of the need for carpet and drapery cleaning and/or replacement; inspects quality of housekeeping work;
- Provides instruction, assigning, reviewing, and planning the work of team members, and maintaining standards;
- Works as a hands-on supervisor, assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to residents when necessary by performing job duties of team members;
- Interviews, hires, orients and trains new team members;
- May completes and administers performance appraisals for Housekeeping and Laundry team;
- Counsels and coaches for high performance outcomes;
- Visits new residents and assist them with scheduling of housekeeping;
- Ensures compliance to regulations regarding housekeeping and laundry;
- May coordinate cleaning of remodels as necessary;
- Responsible for adhering to HIPPA privacy rules and company policies, procedures and practices which require that resident-identifiable health information will only be used to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Attends in-service training workshops and meetings as required;
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program;
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers;
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;
- Performs other related essential work as required.
- Upon resident discharge in Skilled Nursing, sees that room bed, furniture, bathroom, cabinets and clothes closet are cleaned and disinfected within 24 hours in coordination with SNF needs;
- Ensures that clinical areas are sanitized in accordance with established Infectious Disease Control Policies and Procedures;
- Ensures that a schedule of cleaning times and areas is always prominently posted in Skilled Nursing to facilitate cleaning in coordination with resident programs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience performing general housekeeping.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
