Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience within the past 4 years.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Required to titrate drips: PCA pumps
- RNs should have some tele awareness
Required Credentials: RN’s - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
Types of Patients on Unit: MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive
Unit Details: Beds: 55
Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
Special Requests: Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.
Floating Requirements: To other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
