Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Preferred 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience within the past 4 years.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule. Holiday Requirement Rotate in with the perm staff. No call required.
Floating Requirements: Could float to sister facility. Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.
Required Credentials: Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts). If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions. There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation. If they fail, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months.
Types of Patients on Unit: ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele
Required Skills/Experience: Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters. Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical. RNs required to titrate drips. Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital. May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration.
