Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required skills/experience:
Labor & Delivery will be primary role, must be willing to float to Maternity when needed
Will not be required to be in charge or precept
Must be competent with fetal monitor strips
Floating requirements
Must be willing to float to Med/Surg to sit for safety sitter patients if not needed on L&D/OB
Shift and scheduling:
Rotation schedule: Days/Nights (primarily nights)
Majority of shifts will be on nights
There may be times where days are needed, but will not be placed on both in one week without discussing first
Unit details:
Obstetrics: 20-bed unit caring for delivered patients, post-op gyn, and stable antepartum
Labor & Delivery: 10-bed, 2 OR high-risk unit with 80–100 deliveries a month
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
