Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

• Experience with OBIX is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Previous Employment Requirements:

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Annual Skills Checklistis required for submission and can’t expire during the expected contract dates.

Shift & Scheduling:

Orientation Hours: 12 Hours, 2-3 shifts

Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend, but could be up to every other based on unit need

Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor

RTO needed upfront will not be approved, including after submissions.

Float Requirement: Will float to Postpartum, occasional float to the house to be a “sitter”

Skills Required: RNs are required to titrate drips.

Ratio: 1/1-2 labors, 1/2-3 antepartum

Common Diagnoses: High-risk OB and routine obstetric care

Unit Details:

L&D Beds: 16 labor rooms and 9 antepartum rooms

OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 3

Triage beds: 7 bed triage unit where they assess patients who are greater than 20 weeks with pregnancy complaints

Postpartum beds: 36

Births per day Month: Up to 400 per month

Special Requirements: must be able to circulate in OR In addition to ensuring that our Traveler RNs are able to circulate the ORs, we also need to screen for competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care. We do have the expectation that these nurses will float to Postpartum on occasion and this requires care of the infant as well as the mom.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission

• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
