HR Systems Product Manager – IT (Workday Focus)

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in HR systems product management within complex enterprise environments, specifically HR technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of HR technology products, processes and platforms, with a primary focus on Workday (Core HR, Talent, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.).
  • Proficient in Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party middleware solutions.
  • Skilled at leading, driving, and managing stakeholder expectations, planning, and estimating effort for HR technology initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Experienced in managing and mentoring a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Adept at collaborating with engineering, HRIS, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless HR system integrations.
  • Effective at prioritizing budgets, resources, and ensuring alignment between HR technology and business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects, think strategically, and influence across all levels of an organization.

Role Overview:

  • Establish and execute the HR Products strategy and roadmap, with a strong emphasis on Workday optimization and integrations.
  • Align HR products with HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and other enterprise strategies using data-driven decision-making.
  • Focus on optimizing Workday capabilities and adoption to enhance HR efficiency, compliance, employee experience, and automation.
  • Lead HR product integration initiatives, ensuring Workday connects efficiently with payroll providers, benefits vendors, finance systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of HR technology professionals, providing guidance on best practices, performance optimization, and career growth.
  • Foster relationships across HR, IT, and business units to ensure HR systems meet enterprise needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders, including HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT, to align Workday functionality with business strategy.
  • Utilize data insights to identify opportunities, measure adoption, and track system performance.
  • Analyze current HR technology landscape, identifying areas for system enhancements, integrations, or optimizations.
  • Develop and manage HR technology roadmaps, backlog prioritization, and Workday product lifecycle.
  • Drive the development, deployment, and enhancement of Workday modules and integrations, ensuring smooth implementations and upgrades.
  • Manage Workday integrations with third-party HR solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing connections.
  • Partner with service providers and Workday consultants, providing feedback and leading vendor development and support teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Define and measure KPIs for product adoption, employee experience, integration performance, and HR system efficiency.
  • Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensure HR technology solutions support broader business needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven HR technology product management experience.
  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Business, HR Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing Workday or similar HR technology platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Workday HCM, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Integrations, and related HRIS platforms.
  • Strong experience with Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, APIs, Web Services, and third-party middleware.
  • Experience leading and managing a team, providing mentorship, and driving professional development.
  • Experience managing a Workday product backlog, roadmap, and release strategy.
  • Agile methodology experience is preferred.
  • Jira, Kanban, and Confluence experience is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, drive HR digital transformation, and ensure Workday is effectively leveraged across the organization.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $125,500.00.
