Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience within the past 4 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Previous Employment Requirements: MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.

Shift & Scheduling: Nights with some days. Weekends required.. Every other weekend and holiday.

  • Required Skills/Experience:
  • 3yrs experience in L&D, Post Partum and Gyn.
  • M/B, gyn care. fetal monitoring

Floating Requirements: Willing to float to NB nursery and NICU

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Care of the L&D patient and nursing care during delivery. This includes high risk patients. Postpartum mom and baby care. Gyn surgical postop care.

Equipment Used on Unit: Fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, OBIX documentation and centralized monitoring for L&D, EPIC for gyns.

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 mom/baby couplets, 4 gyns. combination of mom/babies and gyns = 1:5-6.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
