Director of Civil Engineering
Full-Time | Open to Relocation Candidates
A federal contractor is seeking a Director of Civil Engineering to provide leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for Department of Defense (DoD) civil engineering projects. This role is responsible for guiding project execution, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, mentoring engineering teams, and driving innovation in civil/site design and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading complex civil design projects for DoD facilities.
- Overseeing technical documentation for stormwater management, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, MEP).
- Providing quality assurance and regulatory compliance oversight.
- Mentoring and managing engineering staff while setting strategic department goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 15+ years of civil/site design experience (DoD or military infrastructure preferred).
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and related design tools.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
