What this job involves: As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you will be essential to maintaining optimal indoor environments across our managed properties. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that keep our clients' facilities comfortable and energy efficient. You will apply specialized technical knowledge to diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and implement solutions that extend equipment life while optimizing performance. Your expertise directly contributes to JLL's commitment to operational excellence, sustainability initiatives, and exceptional client service, making you a valuable member of our facilities management team.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Install, maintain, and repair various HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and ventilation systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing according to established schedules
- Diagnose mechanical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Respond to emergency service calls and resolve temperature control problems
- Monitor building automation systems to ensure optimal HVAC performance and energy efficiency
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications in detail
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement system improvements and energy-saving measures
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3PM-11PM
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in HVAC systems required
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
- EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
- Experience with building automation systems and controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in HVAC technology or related field
- NATE certification or other industry-recognized HVAC credentials
- Experience with energy management systems and sustainable building practices
- Knowledge of indoor air quality standards and practices
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
