The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining comprehensive vehicle records while supporting JLL's operational excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle failures and perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of parts as necessary
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs and conduct safety inspections on fleet vehicles
  • Respond to service calls and provide timely resolution of equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records and complete all required documentation
  • Repair and maintain fleet equipment including forklifts, industrial equipment, and support vehicles
  • Complete daily checklists and pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Perform hydraulic system, brake system, and propane fuel system repairs
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for fleet operations
  • Must Have your own hand tools

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age (21+ if CDL required)
  • Ability to pass drug test, background check, and validated selection test
  • Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Experience repairing forklifts, including propane fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and palette jacks
  • Understanding of hydraulic and brake systems
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Programs and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with computer instrumentation and diagnostic systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and latest technology trends
  • Valid Class A or B CDL license
  • Heavy truck repair experience (tractor-trailers, brakes, tires, engines)
  • Light truck and van repair experience
  • Knowledge of internal combustion and diesel engines
  • Experience with electrical industrial vehicles (Raymond, CAT, Crown, Hyster brands)
  • Familiarity with desktop computers, hand-held devices, and work order systems
  • Mechanical Electrical and mechanical knowledge of industrial Equipment
  • Knowledge of internal combustible/diesel engines,electrical equipment) Forklift’s, burden carriers, genie lifts etc.

Location: Onsite @ GM Fairfax Facility in Kansas City

Schedule:

Compensation: $38.50/hr
