Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for Training Instructors to support the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) mission by delivering technical training across a wide range of advanced U.S. Navy IT and communications systems. This is a hands-on instructional and technical support role, ensuring high-quality training and equipment readiness. This position will be located on Bangor Base, WA,and will be an entirely onsite position.

Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, and implements technical system training programs for CIWT/IWTC students. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized, and new system modules. Prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs system demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver formal training on Government-developed curriculum for Navy IT and communication systems at CIWT training sites using Government-provided Technical Training Equipment (TTE).

  • Prepare for and conduct instruction across assigned courseware, ensuring compliance with CIWT standards.

  • Submit CIWT Course Completion Reports within 5 days of course conclusion.

  • Support technical training management tasks, including:

    • Curriculum Development and Maintenance

    • Training Schedules and POAMs

    • Reporting and Metrics

    • Navy Training System Plan (NTSP) support

    • Participation in training meetings and data calls

  • Provide TTE technical support, including:

    • IAVA updates and system re-baselining

    • Troubleshooting and circuit board diagnostics

    • Lab setup/normalization pre- and post-course

    • Curriculum reviews and redline input for updates

    • Submitting and tracking Remedy trouble tickets

  • Maintain readiness of lab environments and instructional delivery systems (e.g., MRTS 3D for JCC)

  • Participate in Remedy ticketing and TTE lifecycle support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience and formal military training on systems listed below

  • Completion of formal instructor training (e.g., Navy Instructor Training Course or equivalent)

  • Experience in both classroom and lab environments

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical instruction and support

  • Familiarity with curriculum lifecycle management and Navy training documentation standards

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in formal Navy training environments (CIWT or similar)

  • Familiarity with CeTARS, eNTRS, and Remedy systems

  • Demonstrated ability to provide TTE lifecycle support and curriculum input

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
