MANTECH seeks aProgram Security Officeronsite in Washington, DC in a support of our government customer.
Responsibilities include but are limited to:
- Assist the government in developing andapplyingsecuritymeasurestoprogramsduringallphasesofa program'slifecycle.Maydraft securitydocuments that instruct programparticipantson howto implementofficialsecurity policy.
- Provides advice and assistance regarding a range of security issues and concerns to government and program security officers in different geographical locations
- Analyzesdata, applying protectioncriteria andmaking appropriate classificationdecisions abouttheinformation inquestion.
- Makesdecisions abouthowdataandpoliciesaboutclassificationshould beapplied.Interacts with both internaland externalclientsto satisfytheirneeds regarding information, personneland programsecurityissues.
- Actsoccasionallyasthe intermediarybetweeninternal staffofficesand between government officerand contractors.
- Assist with the hands-on, consultation, analysis performance and execution of multi-disciplined SAP,SCIand Collateral security functions to effectively support the SAP Security Division’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+years ofseniorlevelmulti-disciplined security experienceproviding technical support to Special Access Programs(SAP),Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Collateral security oversight and management functions to support the DOE mission.
- High School diploma and8years in a related security function; ability to comprehensively support tasks.
- In-depth and/or expert knowledge of SAP, SCI, and Collateral security requirementsinareas of program planning and management, physical, personnel, information, communications, and operations security.
- Implement Executive Order 13526, DOE O 472.2 ADMIN CHG 1, Personnel Security; DOE O 471.5, Special Access Programs, and SAP specific Program Security guidance that explain the processes, metrics, and QA approach to ensure current clearances; timely reinvestigations; and information is accurately updated and maintained in the centralized SAP Personnel Access database system.
- Multidisciplined with strong Policy implementation experience.
- Must be capable of incorporating security policies and procedures based on a keen ability to interpret and apply the guidance of Executive Orders, Public Laws, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) series, DOE Orders and Directives, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and DoD Special Access Program Security Manuals 5205.07 Volumes 1-4.
- Expected travel to geographically disbursed government sites (CONUS) 10%.
- Drug test required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of ArtsorScience with12-15 years of related security experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance with eligibility for SAP.
- Periodic Review within 5 yearsorenrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
- Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery
- Must be able to position self to maintain office supplies on variable height shelving.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policy
