Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Shift starts 645.
Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves “available” for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating Requirement: First to float. All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.
Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients General Tele patients. Non-titratable drips. Chest pain, CHF, COPD, MI, and other Cardiac dx
Prior to acceptance, the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through Relias is required to be sent along with the acceptance. This must be completed within 24-48 hours. Please note it’s a pass or fail and they get two attempts (Test A should be assigned first and if not passed, Test B should be assigned for the retake.) A screenshot showing the number of attempts is also required.
Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
Need 2 supervisor references (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked.
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit.
Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years). Managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.
