Job Description
Assists the CVOR Nurse Manager in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the CVOR. Serves as a positive professional role model and exhibits clinical leadership and decision-making skills. Serves as team lead for CVOR staff. Acts as resource staff onboarding, staff development and other special projects. Assesses the need for personnel, equipment, supplies, and education initiatives. In coordination with the Manager, helps to establish departmental goals which support the facilities mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license, an understanding of clinical issues, and possess CVOR experience. Management experience preferred. Minimum 3 year experience preferably in a CVOR environment with knowledge of all facility functions that relate to patient care, physician relations, adheres to policy and procedures, and working closely with administration, medical staff and other patient care service functions. Computer experience in electronic medical record documentation preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS (obtained within 1 year of hire). Certification preferred.
