Our client, a dynamic player in the distribution and manufacturing sector, is seeking a GL Accountant, Payroll to join their team. As a GL Accountant, Payroll, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: GL Accountant, Payroll
Location: Oak Brook, Illinois (Onsite)
Salary Range: $70-85k/yr.
- Stand up the accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile payroll with the general ledger to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare journal entries and perform cash reconciliation with Treasury.
- Utilize Oracle software for accounting tasks (nice to have).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations.
What's Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting within the distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in reconciling payroll with the general ledger.
- Strong understanding of journal entries and cash reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Oracle software is a plus.
