Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 46 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).
Block Schedules: No
Required Experience: 4 years in a high acuity & high pace environment
Perm candidates of any other providence facility (Non Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
Pre approved time off will be case by case basis - work every other weekend and Holidays as needed
Floating: Required - Post partum / Antepartum
May float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby.
Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, Community care clinics as well
Staffing to follow AWHONN guidelines
Special Procedures:
High Risk/High Volume L&D - all types
Need high risk experience and able to work in fast paced, high acuity environments.
Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during the delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to post partum
Circulate:
Candidates must circulate and provide NB care including eyes and Vit K injections - thighs and newborn assessments
Avg Daily Census: 15/day; 500-600 deliveries/month
Schedule: Posted every 6 weeks and to meet units needs
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
Orientation: 36 Hours
Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults
Any previous employment with Providence must be noted on submission.
List all RTO. No additional time off will be accommodated post-submission
Clinician must have reliable transportation; travel pairs require separate vehicles
Facility scheduling needs must be met; special requests (e.g., block scheduling, late starts) will not be accommodated.
Housing: Clinician should secure housing before accepting and be aware of local cost of living
