Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required from last 12 months.

• BSN completion preferred

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).

Education/Skills

All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Services-specific competency validation.

Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.

Experience

Perinatal RN Residency, or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting is preferred.

Advanced Fetal Monitoring AWHONN certification can no longer be accepted in place of intermediate. One of the following needed: 1. NCC Electric Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), 2. Intermediate FHM AWHONN, 3. Intermediate Instructor FHM AWHONN, 4. Advanced Instructor FHM AWHONN, 5. Instructor Trainer FHM AWHONN, 6. Advanced FHM AWHONN, or 7. NCCEFM.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)

• C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
