Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

If They Have 1.5 Years Of ICU Experience Excluding Travel And Have Significant Rn Experience Outside Of ICU
Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
Patient Types
Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma,
Diagnoses include but are not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma – heavy trauma population,
Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR – 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers,
Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this – given to permanent staff.
ICU RN qualified to float to ED
Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients.
Impella, IABP and CRRT – strongly preferred
Weekend rotation: Every other-but not guaranteed

7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
