About the Role:
As the Peri-Anesthesia Nurse Educator at Sinai Hospital, under limited supervision, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education programs for the Peri-OperativeService Linedepartments, including Peri-Anesthesia and Procedural areas, in alignment with the ANA Nursing Professional Development Scope and Standards and organizational policies.
*This position is eligible for a potential sign-on bonus of $10,000.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and evaluates education programs for the Peri-Anesthesia and Procedural areas using adult learning principles and professional development standards.
- Provides leadership, support, and supervision for staff in Peri-Anesthesia and Procedural areas.
- Collaborates on and supports hospital-wide education initiatives and service line-specific training efforts.
Requirements:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s degree required or enrollment in a Master’s program within two years of hire.
Licensure:Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license required; American Heart Association BLS required
Certification:National certification required (e.g., Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development, or ASTD); additional certifications as appropriate, including AHA ACLS, NRP, PALS, and corresponding Instructor certifications.
Experience:3–5 years of experience in a peri-anesthesia care setting required; previous education or teaching experience preferred.
