Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.
Will take first time traveler but must understand they only get 1 day of orientation.
Patient Types Travelers Expected to Care For: General Medical: pneumonia, sepsis, CHF, COPD, AKI, DVT, PE, occasionally surgical, COVID, mental health patients, long stay/placement patients, specialize in end of life/palliative care
May have mixed assignment (COVID & non-COVID)
Must complete Rhythm Interpretation Exam as part of Compliance
Skills required: Central Lines, IV Antibiotics, heparin drips, nebulizer treatments, dressing changes, various drains and ostomies. Palliative: PCA, pain control and overall comfort. General post-surgical experience.
Floating: Other Med-Surg Units (Med-Onc, Ortho), ED Holding, Covid
Ask if interested in 48-hr contract
Traveler is used to plug and play for any holes
Schedule typically provided 3-weeks at a time
Travelers tend to compliment schedulers
RTO: Email NM for approval
Orientation: 2 days of general hospital orientation. 1 day of primary unit orientation.
Traveler Telemetry Competency Required - Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam.
