Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Shift: D/N for weekends only
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Labor, delivery, post-partum, mom/babe couplets. >34 weeks, under 34 weeks transferred out. Do not do VBACs or TOLACs. “Well baby”” nursery - can do IV ABX, IV dextrose, feeders/growers, bili babies. Can take post-surgicals on the unit (post-appe, post-chole, etc.). C-sections done in Main OR. Do not need to be able to circulate or recover.
Experience/Must have skills: Minimum of 1 year OB experience. Need to be able to work labor & delivery, post-partum, mom/babe couplets, & well baby nursery, as well as be comfortable taking post-surgicals (post-appe, post-chole, etc.) on the OB unit. Prefer some MedSurg background - is a CAH facility & can float to MedSurg unit as helping hands if no OB patients.
RNs required to titrate drips
EFM System: OBIX
Manager sets the schedule. Will try to accommodate requests/blocks, if able. Schedule is out approx 2-months in advance/4-weeks at a time.
Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend - Fri/Sat/Sun
Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd holiday
Is there a call or standby requirement: No
Floating Requirements: Float to MedSurg as helping hands when OB closed. Can take post-surgicals (post-chole, post-appe, etc.) on OB unit.
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: OB department orientation is 2 shifts
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
